Arlington Gardens is a 99 bed skilled
nursing facility with 230+ door openings. This project began
in December 2007, and it's anticipated completion date is December
2008. SNF's (Skilled Nursing Facilities) built
in the state of California require a unique level of expertise
to meet all of the OSHPD requirements. This project involves
double egress conditions, using swing clear hinges and exit devices
to create 44 inches of clear space between the open and closed
doors crossing the exit corridors, as required by California
codes. This project, which is located in Riverside, California,
also involves many two hour rated walls, and most of the other
doors are one hour and 20 minute assemblies. At the owner's
request, we will be using plastic laminate doors to add durability
and damage resistance which will increase the life span of the
door. The Arlington project also includes providing
hollow metal frames and doors, plastic laminate doors and
Hager hardware. We will also install all door frames and
hardware.
